Luxury bathroom remodeling for Miami homes

A luxury bathroom is less about expensive materials than about decisions that line up: the slab joint that meets the niche, the lighting that doesn't cast shadows on your face, the drain you never notice. That coordination is where most of the design time goes.

What we're asked for most

  • Wet rooms

Shower and freestanding tub inside one glass-enclosed, fully waterproofed zone. The whole floor becomes a shower pan, so membrane and slope planning extend across the room.

  • Large-format slab walls

Porcelain or stone panels with very few joints. They need flat walls, precise templating and a plan for getting large panels into the building, which in a tower means checking elevator dimensions early.

  • Freestanding tubs

Stone resin, cast iron or acrylic. Floor-mounted fillers need the supply lines placed during rough-in, and heavy tubs need the floor checked.

  • Custom vanities

Built to the room rather than to a catalogue width, with materials that stay stable in humidity. See bathroom vanities.

  • Layered lighting

Face-level light at the mirror, dimmable ambient light, and low night lighting, so the room works at 6am and at midnight.

  • Thermostatic and digital showers

Exact temperature control, multiple outlets and body sprays, planned with enough water supply and drain capacity.

Designed for Miami light and air

Miami bathrooms often get strong natural light, sometimes through a full wall of glass in a tower. That changes material choice. Polished dark stone shows every water mark in that light; warm white and honed finishes forgive it. Brass and nickel need finishes that stand up to salt air if you're on the water.

And everything sits inside a humid building envelope. Luxury work gets the same waterproofing and ventilation standard as any bathroom we build, just across more square footage. For ideas to bring to the first meeting, see luxury bathroom design ideas for Miami homes.

Condo penthouses and large units

High-end tower projects bring their own constraints: slab penetrations, load limits for stone, delivery windows and noise rules. We plan those first so the design doesn't have to change halfway through. More on condo projects.

How a luxury project is priced

Cost at this level is driven by material (slab versus tile, stone versus porcelain), custom millwork, glass size and hardware, fixture packages and the amount of layout change. Lead times for imported materials and custom pieces also shape the schedule. We itemise each so you can decide where the budget does the most. The remodel cost page explains how quotes are structured.

Questions we hear about this

Do heated floors make sense in Miami?

Rarely for warmth. Some people like them in air-conditioned bathrooms on stone floors, and they help floors dry faster, but they're a comfort choice here rather than a necessity. We'd usually put that budget into ventilation, lighting or glass first.

Can a steam shower be installed in a condo?

Sometimes. A steam shower needs a vapor-tight enclosure, a ceiling membrane, a location for the generator and, in a condo, association approval. The building's ventilation arrangements matter too. It's assessed case by case.

Is natural stone or porcelain better for a luxury bathroom?

Both can look exceptional. Porcelain slabs are far less porous and easier to live with; natural stone has depth and variation porcelain can't fully copy but needs sealing and gentler cleaning. We compare them in detail in our porcelain versus natural stone guide.
